Namthing Pokhri Lake

These lizard-like creatures can only be found in two locations in the world: Namthing Pokhri and Jorpokhri. A wire fence surrounds the lake, and visitors are not permitted to swim or approach the water. The lake is seasonal, filling only during the monsoon months. When the water dries up, the salamanders emerge from their hibernation and lay eggs on the grassy lake bed. You can go inside and be immersed in the breathtaking splendor of the location. Buddhist flags are draped throughout the property, adding to its wonderful atmosphere. Nearby attractions include a Shiva temple and a cinchona plantation.

Jogighat Bridge, Sittong

Jogighat Bridge is a 74-meter-long steel bridge that connects the towns of Mungpoo and Sittong. It passes over the Riyang Khola, a mountain stream that flows down the stony landscape. The bridge is adorned with vibrant Buddhist flags, which adds to its beauty and significance. It was inaugurated in 2015 by Baba Ramdev, a well-known yoga instructor. This bridge is both interesting and popular as a picnic location for locals and tourists. You can come here to enjoy the picturesque view of the flora. You can also go down to the stream and listen to the relaxing sounds. There is also a waterfall that comes alive during the monsoon season.

Orange Garden

The orange gardens in Sittong are another attraction for travelers on sightseeing tours. These lush orange orchards are the reason Sittong is also known as the Orange Village. The oranges available here are smaller in size but sweeter in taste. Sittong's orange groves are a sight to behold, especially from November to February when the oranges are ripe and ready for picking. The valley looks like a vivid orange carpet against the green plants and blue sky. The scent of citrus permeates the air, revitalizing your senses.
