Namthing Pokhri Lake

These lizard-like creatures can only be found in two locations on the planet: Namthing Pokhri and Jorpokhri. The lake is surrounded by a wire fence, and swimming or approaching the water is not permitted. The lake is seasonal and only fills during the monsoon season. When the water evaporates, the salamanders emerge from their hibernation and lay eggs on the lake's grassy bed. You can go inside and immerse yourself in the breathtaking beauty of the setting. Buddhist flags are draped throughout the property, adding to the wonderful atmosphere. A Shiva temple and a Cinchona plantation are nearby attractions.

Orange Garden

The orange gardens in Sittong are another draw for tourists on sightseeing tours. The lush orange orchards are why Sittong is also known as the Orange Village. The oranges available here are smaller in size, but sweeter in flavor. Sittong's orange groves are stunning, especially between November and February when the oranges are ripe and ready for picking. The valley looks like a bright orange carpet against the green plants and blue sky. The scent of citrus permeates the air, invigorating your senses.
