About Addahut Dawaipani Homestay

Dawaipani is a small Himalayan village in North Bengal's intriguing Darjeeling District. The settlement is located on the opposite hill of Darjeeling town, which is famed for Tiger Hill. Dawaipani is only 17 kilometers from Darjeeling town, and the next intersection is Jorebunglow, which is only 7 kilometers from this magnificent destination. The village, which comprises of approximately 135 - 150 cottages, is a spot where one may take a deep breath in the lap of nature. This village is a bird lover's delight, and bird viewing is one of Dawaipani's top activities. Dawaipani means 'Medicated water' in the local language, and the name is derived from the local river (Khola) that flows through the settlement.
This settlement is surrounded by a few well-known tea estates, including Glenburn, Lamahatta, and Takdah, as well as lush green pines. Darjeeling District. Distance: 77 km from NJP/Bagdogra and 17 km from Darjeeling via Jorebunglow. The best time to visit is from September to June.
